Special Traffic Plan in Colombo for Visit of Indian Defence Minister

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police say a special traffic plan will be in operation in Colombo from today until September 10.

The special arrangements have been introduced in connection with the official visit of Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Sri Lanka.

In a statement, Police said traffic movements will be restricted intermittently and on a route-by-route basis during periods when the Indian Defence Minister is travelling through the city.

Accordingly, from 1:30 p.m. today, traffic restrictions will be imposed along the route from Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, via the Katunayake-Colombo Expressway, through the Colombo Port area, and onwards through the NSA Roundabout to the Taj Samudra Hotel.
