COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka began their campaign at the 2026 Asia Rugby Emirates Men's Sevens Series in Suzhou, China, with a commanding victory over Kazakhstan.

Sri Lanka dominated the opening half, racing to a 28–0 lead.

The Sri Lankan side added another 21 points in the second half, while Kazakhstan managed just seven.

Sri Lanka eventually secured an emphatic 49–7 victory in their opening match of the tournament.
