Dengue Cases In Sri Lanka Surpass 93,000

COLOMBO (News 1st): The number of dengue cases reported in the country so far this year has risen to 93,635.

The National Dengue Control Unit said 71 people have died from dengue so far this year.

A total of 8,297 dengue cases have been reported during the first 22 days of this month alone.

There are currently 76 high-risk MOH divisions for dengue.

The National Dengue Control Unit said the highest number of dengue cases continues to be reported from the Gampaha, Colombo and Kandy districts.

The public has been urged to keep their surroundings clean to help control the spread of dengue.
