Department of Motor Traffic Resumes Online Appointment System

COLOMBO(News 1st): The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) says its online appointment booking facility will resume operations from today.

Accordingly, the public can book appointments by visiting the website dmtappointments.dmt.gov.lk.

The facility will allow members of the public to reserve appointments online for services provided at the DMT's Narahenpita office, including new vehicle registrations, transfers of vehicle ownership and matters relating to technical issues.

The department stated that the system is expected to reduce the need for people to queue for extended periods at the office, particularly during the morning hours.
