COLOMBO (News 1st): Student enrollment has begun for the 11th phase of the interest-free student loan scheme.
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education stated that these enrollments will be conducted by the 27th of next month.
Students who sat for the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in the years 2023, 2024, and 2025 and achieved at least simple passes (S) for all three subjects, at least a simple pass for English in either the Advanced Level or Ordinary Level examination, and a minimum of 30 marks for the Common General Test are eligible to apply.
The ministry also stated that applicants must not be older than 25 years of age by the 27th of next month.
The Ministry of Education noted that this provides students with the opportunity to follow over 129 degree programs across 16 degree-awarding institutions, covering study streams such as Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Science, Commerce, and Humanities and Social Sciences.
