Rooftop Protest at Pallansena Open Prison Camp

COLOMBO (News 1st); A fresh prison-related disturbance has been reported at the Pallansena Open Prison Camp in Dalupotha, Negombo.

According to information received from the area, a group of inmates has climbed onto the roof of the prison facility and is currently staging a protest.

Police confirmed that a number of inmates at the Negombo Pallansena Open Prison Camp are engaged in a protest action.

Authorities stated that necessary security measures have already been taken to ensure the safety of the facility and maintain public order.
