Heat Advisory Issued for Nine Districts

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology has warned that the heat index is expected to reach caution levels in nine districts across Sri Lanka today.

In a heat advisory issued by the Department of Meteorology the districts of Kilinochchi, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Trincomalee, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Batticaloa, Ampara, and Monaragala are likely to experience heat levels, that could require public caution.

The Department has urged the public to take necessary precautions and remain vigilant to minimize the health risks associated with the hot weather conditions.
