Statement Recorded From Former Minister Kumara Jayakody Over Coal Inquiry

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Presidential Commission appointed to investigate coal transactions has recorded a statement from former Minister of Energy, Kumara Jayakody.

The Commission stated that he was summoned yesterday and the statement was recorded over a period of nearly three hours.

The police stated that, to date, the Commission has recorded statements regarding coal transactions from approximately 100 individuals, including government officials.
