Ban on Single-Use Plastic Water Bottles in State Sector

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The purchase and use of single-use plastic water bottles in all state institutions have been banned, effective from today.

This directive was issued through a special circular by the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.

According to the circular, heads of institutions must take immediate steps to prevent the use of single-use plastics within state organizations.
