Services at the Consular Affairs Office Suspended Over Technical Failure

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Officials from the Consular Affairs Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, announced that all document attestation services have been temporarily suspended until further notice.

The suspension has been reported due to a technical failure in the document certification system.

The Ministry announced that services have been halted at the main Consular Affairs office in Battaramulla, as well as all regional offices in Jaffna, Trincomalee, Kandy, Matara, and Kurunegala.

Technical teams and relevant parties are working to restore the system as soon as possible and resume normal services without delay.

Applicants who have already booked online appointments have been advised to monitor the system for updates and further notifications.

Once the system is restored, all affected applicants will be duly informed.
