Visiting Maldivian President to Attend a Key Business Forum In Colombo Today After Concluding High Level Diplomatic Engagements

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The President of Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, and his delegation, who are currently on an official visit in the country, are scheduled to attend a special business forum in Colombo today.

According to the President's Media Division, the Maldivian President Dr. Muizzu will conclude his three-day official visit and depart the island tomorrow morning.

Accompanying President Muizzu on this trip are First Lady Sajidha Mohamed, the Maldivian Foreign Minister, several senior cabinet ministers, and high-ranking officials. 

This marks Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s first visit to Sri Lanka since assuming office in the Maldives in 2023.

Due to the President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s visit, a special traffic plan remains in effect until tomorrow around Colombo and the Katunayake Expressway.

Police stated that traffic flow will be restricted intermittently along these routes. 

Drivers are advised to use alternative routes due to this.
