Crude Oil Shipment to Arrive Today; Fuel Supplies Secured Until Late June

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that a vessel carrying a fresh shipment of crude oil is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today.

CPC Managing Director Mayura Neththikumarage stated that the tanker is transporting 95,000 metric tons of crude oil to the island.

Following today’s arrival, several other fuel consignments are scheduled to reach the country, A vessel carrying 9,500 metric tons is expected tomorrow. 

A shipment of 36,000 metric tons is set to arrive on the 28th.

Neththikumarage assured the public that with these shipments, the country will have sufficient fuel stocks to meet national demand until the end of June.
