SLTB Records Landmark Revenue During New Year Season

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has deployed additional buses since yesterday to accommodate passengers returning to Colombo and other major cities for work, based on commuter demand.

SLTB Chairman Lalith de Alwis stated that the board earned a total revenue of Rs. 1 billion within just six days by providing transport services during the New Year festive period.

He noted that the highest daily revenue in the history of the SLTB was recorded on the 11th of April, with earnings reaching Rs. 213 million on that this day.
