19‑Year‑Old Dies After Fight Between Student Groups

COLOMBO (News 1st); A 19‑year‑old youth has died following a violent clash between two groups of students in the Moragahahena area of Homagama, police said.

According to police, the incident occurred last night during a party held at a hotel, where an altercation broke out between the two groups, leading to the fatal assault.

The deceased has been identified as a 19‑year‑old resident of the Nikadalupotha area in Walallava.

Following the incident, five individuals have been arrested in connection with the clash, and investigations are currently ongoing.
