Government Services And Schools To Function As Usual Following Holiday Cancellation

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Office of the Commissioner General of Essential Services states that services at government institutions will function as usual today.

This follows the cancellation of the "Wednesday Holiday" which had been declared for the public service to conserve energy.

The Office of the Commissioner General further noted that all government schools will also be conducted as usual today.

Meanwhile, with the cancellation of the Wednesday holiday, transport authorities have taken steps to operate public transport services today as a regular working day.
