No Requests to Repatriate from Sri Lankans in Middle East Despite Conflicts

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment says that no Sri Lankans residing in the Middle East have submitted requests to return to the island due to the ongoing regional conflicts.

Speaking to News 1st, the SLBFE Chairman, Kosala Wickramasinghe, noted that Sri Lankans employed in the middle east currently remain safe.

However, the Chairman says that it has come to notice that there has been a decline in the number of individuals registering to depart the island for employment in the Middle East region.
