5.5 Million Fuel QR Codes Issued, 1.2 Million Yet To Register

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Digital Economy says that 5.5 million Fuel Issue QR codes have been issued so far.

Sumudu Ratnayake, an advisor to the ministry, noted that this figure includes 800,000 new registrations for the QR system. However, approximately another 1.2 million people still need to register to obtain fuel under this system.

He added that immediate steps are being taken to resolve the issues faced by this group. Additionally, several special WhatsApp numbers are set to be introduced for reporting these concerns.
