New Education Reforms for Grade 6 to Commence in 2027, says PM Harini Amarasuriya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya has announced that steps are being taken to introduce new education reforms for Grade 6 starting next year. 

The Prime Minister said that arrangements are being made to hand over the printing of new textbooks to the Educational Publications Department under the Ministry of Education.

She made these remarks during a visit to pay her respects to the Chief Sanghanayaka of the Uva Wellassa regions and Chief Incumbent of the Yudaganawa Rajamaha Vihara, Rajakeeya Panditha Most Venerable Galtemwatte Nandarathana Nayaka Thero.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted that 50 vocational education centers featuring modern courses will be developed to cover all 25 districts, ensuring proper recognition for vocational education.
