The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defense reported that the Iranian attacks on February 28 and March 1 resulted in three fatalities, a Pakistani, a Nepali, and a Bangladeshi national and 58 minor injuries among residents and visitors of multiple nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, and Afghan.
The ministry said the UAE air force and air defense successfully intercepted and destroyed 152 of 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 506 of 541 drones launched by Iran, while some missiles and drones fell into the sea or struck civilian targets.
It noted that debris from intercepted missiles and drones caused minor to moderate damage to several civilian properties.
The UAE Ministry of Defense emphasized its full readiness to respond to threats and assured that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains a top priority.
