SriLankan Airlines Cancel All Flights to the Middle East Amidst Escalating Tensions

COLOMBO (News 1st); SriLankan Airlines states that all SriLankan flights to the Middle East have been cancelled today (1) as well, taking into consideration the situation in the region, and that it is closely monitoring the situation.
Earlier today, all flights scheduled to depart from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, to the Middle East have been temporarily suspended until 5:00 PM today.
The suspension comes in response to the closure of airspace over several countries in the Middle East.
Additionally, two aircraft that had departed for the Middle East from BIA yesterday, have returned to the airport.
