LPG Supply Boosts as Litro and Laugfs Announce Major Shipments and Increased Daily Distribution

COLOMBO (News 1st); Litro Gas Ltd has announced that another vessel carrying 3,700 metric tons of LP gas is scheduled to arrive in the island today.

Chairman of Litro Gas, Channa Gunawardana, says that with this shipment, the total amount of gas imported for the current month exceeds 28,000 metric tons. 

The company confirmed that distribution of this stock will commence tomorrow morning.

The company has also taken steps to increase its daily market release from 1,200 metric tons to 1,700 metric tons.

Meanwhile, Laugfs Gas PLC reported that a ship carrying 3,500 metric tons of LP gas is expected to reach the island tomorrow.

CEO of Laugfs Gas, Nalinda Kurukulasuriya, says that the loading process for this vessel is currently taking place in the Maldives. 

He added that four additional vessels have already been ordered to ensure a steady supply.
