PUCSL Calls For Public Views On Proposed 13.56% Power Tariff Hike

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced that the acceptance of written public comments and suggestions regarding the electricity tariff revision proposal submitted by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) begins today.

These submissions will be accepted until March 18th.

The consultation paper, drafted after reviewing the tariff revision proposal submitted by the CEB to the PUCSL, is available for reference on their website at www.pucsl.gov.lk.

Recently, the CEB requested permission from the PUCSL to increase electricity tariffs by 13.56% for the second quarter of 2026.
