Ex-Opposition Holds Talks With Ranil

COLOMBO (News 1st): A meeting between Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and a group of former Opposition members of parliament, under the name "Mahajana Handa", took place this morning at the United National Party office in Flower Road, Colombo.

The discussions primarily focused on fostering cooperation and building consensus among Opposition party leaders.

According to sources, several key issues, including substandard coal imports, underworld-related killings, and concerns regarding LP gas supply, were also addressed during the discussion. 

Former MPs and Ministers, including Udaya Gammanpila, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, G.L. Peiris, Mahinda Amaraweera, Sagala Ratnayaka, Thalatha Atukorale, Premnath C. Dolewatta, and Sugeeshwara Bandara, representing the opposition, participated in the meeting.
