Avant Garde Writ Cases Thrown Out by Appeals Court

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Court of Appeal today ordered two writ petitions filed by Avant Garde and its employees to be dismissed without proceeding to examination. 

The petitions had sought an order nullifying a directive issued by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, instructing the removal of three weapons warehouses operated by the company.

The Court delivered its decision after initially considering the two petitions submitted by Avant Garde and its staff.
