Four Arrested Over Akuregoda Shooting Of Lawyer And Wife

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police say that 'Polgasowita Dila', who was arrested on suspicion of transporting firearms used in the Akuregoda double murder, is currently being detained and questioned.

The 28-year-old suspect was taken into custody recently in Polgasowita.

So far, four suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, including two members of the same family.

They face allegations of harboring the gunmen, transporting firearms, and supplying drugs.

A lawyer and his wife were shot dead in Akuregoda, Thalangama, on the 13th of February.
