COLOMBO (News 1st) - Bilateral talks between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin today.
The discussions are being held on the sidelines of the AI IMPACT Summit 2026 in New Delhi, India.
According to the President’s Media Division, the talks will take place at Hyderabad House, under the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
Following the discussions, the President is expected to return to the island.
The AI Impact Summit 2026 was held in New Delhi with the objective of promoting the responsible use of artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity.
The summit was attended by several Heads of State and leading figures in the technology sector from around the world.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake departed the island last Tuesday to participate in the AI Impact 2026 Summit.
On the sidelines of the summit, he also held discussions with several foreign dignitaries.
Yesterday, the President addressed the summit.
Delivering his remarks, President Dissanayake highlighted the need for regional cooperation in advancing artificial intelligence development.
