Parliament to Convene today, Judicature And Dangerous Drugs Amendment Bills Taken Up for Debate

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Parliament is scheduled to convene at 9:30 AM today under the chairmanship of the Speaker, Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne. 

The second reading on the Judicature (Amendment) Bill and the Poisons, Opium, and Dangerous Drugs (Amendment) Bill will be taken up for debate today

In addition, three regulations under the Special Commodity Levy Act are slated to be passed in Parliament.

A regulation under the Motor Traffic Act will also be presented for parliamentary approval today.
