COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka officially committed to the Global Charter on Children’s Care Reform today.
The event, hosted at the United Nations office in Colombo by UNICEF Sri Lanka, was headlined by a visit from Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Lammy, who witnessed Sri Lanka become the 35th country to pledge its support to the international framework.
Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom David Lammy emphasized that the UK stands by the work that's being done in Sri Lanka to ensure that children get the support that they need.
