Infant's Body Recovered from Lake Gregory

COLOMBO (News1st): The body of a female infant was discovered floating on Lake Gregory, Nuwara Eliya.

The body will be handed over to the Nuwara Eliya District General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The discovery was made following information provided to police by the lake's boat crew and lifeguards.

Police investigations into the incident are underway.
