CID Arrests Fraud Suspect Over Gemstone Deal And Dishonoured Cheques

COLOMBO (News 1st) -The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested a person who allegedly defrauded by issuing dishonoured cheques.
Police said that he was arrested for obtaining nine gemstones worth Rs. 88,050,000 and issuing dishonoured cheques worth Rs. 64,600,000 for their value.
The individual arrested is a 29-year-old resident of Kollupitiya.
