Parliament to Convene Today for Debate on Education

COLOMBO (News1st): Parliament will convene again today at 9:30 AM under the chairmanship of Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.

Accordingly, a full-day debate is scheduled regarding the necessary developments and reforms needed for the country's education system.

The Department of Communication of Parliament says that the government is set to present the relevant motion for the debate.

Eight Sectoral Oversight Committees are also scheduled to meet today. They are the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education, Workforce, and Human Capital, Sectoral Oversight Committee on Governance, Justice, and Civil Protection and the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Environment, Agriculture, and Resource Sustainability.
