STF Arrests Suspects with Large Consignments of Ice and Heroin

COLOMBO (News1st): The Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a suspect transporting a staggering 61 kilograms and 838 grams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) in a trishaw in Araliya Lane, in Pinnagolla Watte, Nittambuwa.

According to the STF, the street value of the narcotics haul is estimated to be nearly Rs. 900 million, marking one of the most significant meth seizures reported in recent months.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspect is an associate of two high‑profile organized criminals and drug traffickers currently operating from overseas, “Dubai Varuna” and “Kudu Siddhique.” 

In a separate operation, another suspect was arrested while transporting 56.2 grams of Heroin in a car. 

The arrest was made on Bimbarama Road, Kadawatha.
