Police Freeze Rs. 32 Mn Property Linked to Liquor Smuggler

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police have frozen property worth Rs. 32 million in Eheliyagoda, linked to a suspected liquor smuggler.

The action follows an investigation by the Illegal Assets Investigation Division. 

The suspect, recently arrested and produced in court, has been released on bail.

The freeze covers a house valued at Rs. 20 million and a car worth Rs. 12 million, both registered in the name of the husband of the suspect’s daughter.
