Malaysia to Colombo Drug Run Ends in Arrest at BIA

COLOMBO (News 1st); A 27‑year‑old resident of Colombo 10 has been arrested at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport for attempting to smuggle 1.2 kilograms of Kush cannabis into Sri Lanka.

The suspect was apprehended during a special raid carried out by officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB).

Police said the young man was taken into custody shortly after he arrived in Sri Lanka from Malaysia.
