Education Reforms for Grade 6 Shifted to Next Year

COLOMBO (News 1st): Cabinet spokesperson Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa says that education reforms for grade 6 have been shifted to next year.

The announcement was made by the Cabinet Spokesperson during today's cabinet press briefing.

Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa highlighted that this decision was made following formal investigations carried out by the CID, Ministry of Education and other relevant authorities on the English Module of Grade 6.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has also held continuous discussions regarding the matter with relevant officials from the education sector. 

Accordingly, while reforms for Grade One will be implemented as scheduled, reforms for Grade Six have been shifted to next year.
