COLOMBO (News 1st): The Railways Department states that train services for today have been scheduled to operate as they would on a Saturday.
This decision follows government instructions to limit transport services, coinciding with the declaration of today as a public holiday.
Accordingly, 58 train trips will operate on the Main Line, 66 on the Coastal Line, and 10 on the Kelani Valley Line.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) stated that rural transport services will operate according to their normal schedules today.
However, long-distance bus services are planned to be deployed based on passenger demand.
