COLOMBO (News1st): A committee has been appointed to investigate an accident involving a Cessna seaplane that occurred yesterday while attempting to land on Gregory Lake in Nuwara Eliya.
The commitee chaired by Captain Daminda Rambukwella, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), includes experts from various engineering and technical divisions.
Captain Rambukwella says that recovery operations are currently underway with the assistance of the Air Force, Navy, and Police.
He further noted that the aircraft is scheduled to be transported to Colombo by this afternoon for investigations.
