Ragama Resident Arrested at BIA with Rs. 255 Million Worth of "Kush" Hidden in Silencers

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Customs has apprehended a 38-year-old resident of Ragama for attempting to smuggle a massive consignment of "Kush" cannabis valued at Rs. 255 million into the country.

The suspect arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport from Bangkok, Thailand, aboard a SriLankan Airlines flight.

Upon inspecting his four suitcases, officials discovered 25.5 kg of the narcotics ingeniously concealed inside 16 exhaust silencers. 

The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
