Indian National Caught With Kush Drugs At Airport

COLOMBO(News 1st); An Indian national has been detained at Katunayake Airport with a consignment of Kush drugs worth Rs. 34.19 million.

The Kush seized by customs weighs 3 kilograms and 419 grams.

Police said he tried to smuggle the drugs into the country by hiding them in his suitcase.

The suspect had arrived on a Sri Lankan Airlines flight from Bangkok.

The 35-year-old Indian national and the seized drugs have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation.
