Joint Indo-Lanka Effort Begins to Restore Disaster-Damaged Raja Mawatha

COLOMBO (News 1st); Construction commenced this morning on a pre-cast bridge donated by India to repair a collapsed section of the Raja Mawatha along the Kandy-Badulla road in Randenigala.
The restoration project is a collaborative effort between the Indian Army Corps of Engineers and the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Engineers.
The bridge, which collapsed during the disaster, had been closed to traffic for over a month.
