Underworld Figure ‘Chooti Malli’ Arrested in Dubai

COLOMBO (News 1st); Rasika Chandika Kumara, widely known as “Chooti Malli”, has been arrested in Dubai. 

Police confirmed that the suspect, believed to be a key member of an organized crime syndicate and an accomplice in large-scale drug trafficking, was taken into custody by security authorities in the UAE.

Sri Lankan police stated they were officially informed of the arrest and have requested Dubai authorities to initiate extradition procedures to bring the suspect back to Sri Lanka for prosecution.

The 30-year-old suspect, a resident of Kandana, has long been on law enforcement’s radar for his alleged involvement in narcotics smuggling and underworld operations.
