Over 1,200 Severe Landslides Reported Across Sri Lanka Following Cyclone Ditwah

COLOMBO (News 1st) - National Building Research Organization says more than 1,200 severe landslides have been reported across the country following Cyclone Ditwah.

Director General of the NBRO, Asiri Karunawardena says that 363 of these landslides were reported in the Kandy district alone.

He added that crops will be planted in high-risk landslide zones, where residential activities have been restricted, to help prevent soil erosion in the future.
