COLOMBO (News 1st): Academic activities at three faculties of the University of Peradeniya, which were disrupted due to the Cyclone Ditwah, will commence on December 29.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Terrence Madhujith, says that the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, and Dental Sciences will be reopened accordingly.
Prof. Terrance says that plans are in place to reopen the Faculties of Science and Arts on the January 05, 2026.
A decision regarding the reopening of the Faculty of Management has not yet been made.
Prof. Terrence Madhujith also noted that work is currently underway to restore the university property damaged by the disasters.
