Woman Survives Cliff Plunge At Little Adam's Peak

COLOMBO (News 1st); A British woman narrowly escaped tragedy yesterday afternoon after falling nearly 100 feet down a cliff while visiting the picturesque Little Adam's Peak in the Ella Police Division.

The incident occurred in the 3rd Mile Post area, a popular vantage point for hikers and nature lovers. According to local authorities, the woman had been admiring the breathtaking views when she accidentally slipped and plunged into the ravine.

Emergency rescue teams rushed to the scene and carried out a challenging operation to bring her to safety. 

Despite the severity of the fall, she was successfully rescued and transported to Badulla Hospital for treatment. 

Mini Sri Pada, often called the “Little Adam’s Peak,” is a major tourist attraction in Ella, drawing hundreds of visitors daily for its panoramic views and serene hiking trails.
