Apple's Tim Cook Pledges Aid for Flood-Hit South and Southeast Asia

COLOMBO (News 1st); Apple CEO Tim Cook has expressed solidarity with communities devastated by recent storms and flooding across Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.

In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Cook conveyed Apple’s concern for those affected and announced that the company will contribute to relief and rebuilding efforts on the ground.

"Storms across Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka have devastated communities. At Apple, we’re thinking of everyone affected, and will be donating to relief and building efforts on the ground," Cook wrote.

The announcement comes as thousands struggle with displacement, loss of property, and urgent humanitarian needs following severe weather events in the region.
