COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Road Development Authority (RDA) says 95 roads remain blocked following the recent disaster.
Director General of the RDA Wimal Kandambi stated that clearing these routes will be completed within the next few days.
A total of 256 RDA-managed roads were damaged by floods and landslides, and engineering teams have already begun work to remove debris and restore access.
He added that all major cities now have road access, as restoration work continues.
The Director General further noted that the Colombo–Kandy road, which was blocked in Kadugannawa, will be reopened today.
In addition, 20 bridges have been damaged due to the disaster.
