COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka is grappling with one of its worst weather-related disasters in recent years, as torrential rains and landslides have left 31 people dead, 14 missing, and thousands displaced across 17 districts.

People in Safe Centers: 131

Badulla District remains the hardest hit, with 18 deaths, followed by Kegalle (7 deaths), Nuwara Eliya (4 deaths), and isolated fatalities in Hambantota and Kurunegala.
