Sri Lanka Army Troops Return after “Exercise Mithra Shakti – 11th Edition” in India

COLOMBO(News 1st); The Sri Lankan military contingent that participated in the 11th edition of the Sri Lanka–India bilateral military exercise, Exercise Mithra Shakti, returned to the island yesterday after successfully completing the programme conducted from 10 to 22 November 2025 at the Foreign Training Node (FTN) in Karnataka, India. 

The contingent comprised 125 Sri Lanka Army personnel and 10 Sri Lanka Air Force personnel. 

The exercise provided an effective platform for enhancing military cooperation, cultural understanding and camaraderie between the two Armies.

The returning troops arrived at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport.
