The Disaster Management Center reports that the death toll from the ongoing adverse weather has risen to nine.
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology says heavy rainfall exceeding 100 millimeters is likely in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Northwestern, Northern, and Southern provinces, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today.
Other areas may also experience showers of around 75 millimeters.
Minor flood levels has been reported along three major rivers following the recent heavy rainfall.
According to the Department of Irrigation, Kalu Ganga in Millakanda, Gin Ganga in Baddegama, and the Nilwala Ganga in Panadugama have reached minor flood levels.
Meanwhile, the Maguru Ganga, a tributary of the Kalu Ganga in Magura, Deduru Oya in Moragaswewa, and the Attanagalu Oya in Dunamale are experiencing rising water levels.
Residents in these areas have been advised to remain vigilant.
The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) says that the landslide warnings issued for 10 districts remain in effect.
