Suspect Arrested Over Kotahena Murder

COLOMBO(News 1st); A suspect who aided and abetted a shooting and murder in the Kotahena area has been arrested with ice.

Police said the suspect, who assisted in the shooting and provided the firearm used in the murder, was arrested in Thelagapatha, Wattala. Officers also recovered 8 grams and 450 milligrams of ice from his possession.

The suspect is a 27-year-old resident of the same area.

The Colombo Crimes Division stated that he has been detained under a 72-hour detention order, and investigations are continuing.
